How Do I Reset My Charles Schwab Password?

1. Go to the Charles Schwab Website

  • Visit the correct website.
  • Type in the URL in your browser's address bar and click Go or Enter.
  • If you get a prompt, log into your Charles Schwab account with your username and password.

2. Click the Account

  • Click the Account tab at the top of your homepage.
  • Click Manage Account under your email address and click Next on the resulting page.

3. Enter Your Username and Password

  • If you enter the correct information, you should see your account. If not, you'll need to try again or contact Charles Schwab for further assistance.
  • You may have multiple accounts associated with your email address. If this is the case, choose the one that best matches the one affected by this action, or the one you want to regain access to.

4. Click Sign In

You will be taken to the sign-in page and asked to enter your profile name and password.

  • Enter your profile name, then select Forgot from the drop-down menu next to Password.
  • You'll get a prompt to answer questions.
  • Once this task is complete, click Continue at the bottom of the screen.

5. Click on the Drop-Down Menu

  • Click your name in the upper right-hand corner of your screen to open up your account settings.
  • Click on Account Security.

This will open up two options: Password Hint and Change Password.

6. Select Change Password

  • Click on Change Password.
  • Enter your username and then click Continue.
  • You will have to enter your current password.

If everything went smoothly, then congratulations! You have successfully changed your Charles Schwab account username and password. You can now log back into your account using both new credentials.
