How Do I Cancel My Vodafone Account?
Call Vodafone if you want to cancel your account without switching to another provider, and they will cancel it within 30 days. You will need a PAC code from Vodafone if you want to switch providers and keep your number. If you want to switch to another network and get a new number, you'll need to contact Vodafone and request a STAC code.
Steps To Cancel Your Vodafone Account
Here are the steps to cancel your Vodafone account:
- Simply contact them via chat, call, online, or text to get your PAC or STAC code. For texting, make sure that you only have one mobile number. You can't get the PAC or STAC code if you have more than one number registered on your account.
- As soon as you have the PAC or STAC code, give this to your new provider so they can move your number over. You'll be disconnected from Vodafone once your number is transferred.
- Keep in mind that PAC and STAC codes are only valid for 30 days. So make sure you give this to the new network. Otherwise, you will have to request another code.
- Also, it's important to get the PAC or STAC code within 30 days after you leave Vodafone. Otherwise, Vodafone can't provide you with the code to keep your number.
Are There Fees When You Cancel Your Account?
There is an early termination fee if you decide to cancel your Vodafone account before your plan ends. You may contact them via text to know how much it would cost you to leave Vodafone.
If you decide to cancel before your term ends, Vodafone will continue to bill you until your disconnection date. You will get your final bill on the regular billing date when you switch to another provider 22 days before your billing date. If you've been abroad, it usually takes up to two months because of the roaming charges.
