I have a return flight from Raleigh, North Carolina on January 3, [redacted]. Unfortunately, my cancer surgeon just contacted me, and my surgery is now scheduled for January 3, [redacted], at 8:00 am. My wife, who is cognitively impaired, will be accompanying me on the flight and cannot travel alone. We urgently need to return sooner, preferably on January 2, [redacted], so we do not miss seeing our Baby grandchild visiting from London, England for the first time. As retired individuals on a fixed income, the tickets were a kind gift to us, and we are hoping to find a solution that will allow us to alter our return date. Any assistance or guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

I need assistance with modifying or canceling a reservation for an upcoming international flight on December 23rd. I have two tickets booked, but unfortunately, one of the travelers cannot make the flight due to visa constraints and needs to remain in the country. The tickets bought are non-refundable, but I am hoping there may be a solution available as the cost was high. Ideally, I would like to arrange for the tickets to be separated so that the other traveler's plans are not disrupted.

Dear Community, I recently traveled from Cordoba, Argentina to San Francisco, California on December 17th with layovers in Buenos Aires and JFK. Unfortunately, my luggage did not arrive in San Francisco as promised by the airline staff who checked it in after customs. Despite making several calls to customer service over the past two days, each lasting over an hour, I have not received any helpful information. Initially, I was told my bag was in Madrid and later informed it was still missing. Attempts to reach Delta representatives at JFK have been unsuccessful, as the individuals there do not answer their phones. The lost and found representative did inform me that a message had been sent to them and asked for my patience. I urgently need my luggage by the evening of December 22nd as I have an early morning flight on December 23rd. My reference number for the complaint is SFODL27193. I am reaching out regarding our missed flight on December 15th. Sadly, my friend had an accident in Grand Rapids, Michigan, requiring hospitalization. Despite being notified late by the Grand Rapids hospital, we couldn't make any changes in time. Opodo.de, our travel provider, has been unhelpful in facilitating a rebooking. The total loss amounts to [redacted] €. Despite my efforts, KLM directed me to contact Opodo.de for cancellations but I hadn't even received our ticket numbers. Our itinerary includes two flights. The first leg departs from San Diego at 3:25pm, arriving in Atlanta at 10:41pm. The second leg is scheduled to depart from Atlanta to Charleston at 10:45pm, which makes it impossible for us to catch the connecting flight. We require either 1. Adjusting the second leg to ensure we reach Charleston by tomorrow, with Delta covering hotel expenses if we have to stay in Atlanta overnight, or 2. Refunding the second leg of the flight, permitting us to collect our luggage in Atlanta, and providing a rental car so we can drive from Atlanta to Charleston.

My flight today was canceled, and I was given a terrible itinerary that takes over 24 hours to get to Guadalajara. This itinerary does not work for me. Please cancel itinerary F7J3Q4 and reactivate the original one: DDUEEA, PDX-LAX-GDL departing on Wednesday, the 28th at 6:32 am. Due to a carrier delay on 12/24/22, I missed the second leg of my flight from CUN-ATL. After spending the night in Atlanta, I was put on standby for an American Airlines flight the next day. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was informed that I did not have a confirmed seat and had to wait until 6pm on 12/25/22 for a flight. This delay caused me to not get home until 9pm on Christmas Day. My concern now is whether I will receive SkyMiles credit for the last leg of my journey from ATL-DCA. I had booked this trip to reach my silver medallion status and was $[redacted] short from meeting the requirement. With less than a week left in the year, missing out on this credit has put me $[redacted] short of the threshold.

My family of four had a flight booked with Delta/Air France from Detroit (DTW) to Paris (CDG) and then on to Bangalore (BLR) on December 23, [redacted]. Since DL98 was delayed by 7 hours, we would miss our connection to BLR. Delta rebooked us on Air India [redacted] to Delhi and then AI [redacted] to BLR. Upon arriving in Delhi, none of the five bags we checked in DTW (Tag #s: [redacted], [redacted]9, [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]) were delivered to us for customs clearance. There was no Delta agent available in Delhi. We filed a claim, DELAI55922, with Air India. As of now, we have not received our bags or any updates. We had to spend time and money purchasing essential items for our vacation. Contacting Delta's customer service involves a two-hour wait each time. We need compensation for the extra expenses incurred in buying clothes instead of enjoying our vacation. We urge Delta to track our bags and ensure their prompt delivery to our final destination, BLR.

Hello, I flew Delta [redacted] from SFO to JFK on December 20, [redacted], followed by Air France 15 from JFK to Charles de Gaulle on the same day. I had two luggages weighing over 23 kg each, while my ticket only allowed one under 23 kg. Despite paying $90 online the day before for the extra luggage during check-in, I was asked to pay $[redacted] again at the airport as they could not see my online payment. My bag is currently at the Dulles Delta Baggage Office. The online status indicates it is still there, although I was assured it would be delivered this morning. I am considering driving from Richmond to Dulles to retrieve it personally, but I'm concerned it may be delivered while I'm on the way. I need to speak with a representative to clarify when the bag will be delivered or decide if I should pick it up myself.

My bag has been missing for six days now. I was supposed to depart on a flight that was canceled just as we were about to board. None of our luggage made it back that night. Over the following days, we received two out of four pieces of luggage on separate occasions. However, the fourth bag is still missing after 6 days with no updates on its whereabouts. I need to contact the local baggage services to check on the status of my mishandled baggage claim to avoid unnecessary trips to the airport and parking expenses.

I had a Delta flight scheduled from Vancouver to Boston on September 12, which was cancelled by the airline. As a college teacher needing to reach Boston, I had to take an earlier flight on September 11, arriving at 11:57 pm. I have a flight booked from Calgary to LAX with a layover of 1 hour and 58 minutes before my next flight to Lihue, HI. During this time, I understand that I need to pick up my luggage, go through customs, find my next terminal (3), go through customs again, check in my bags, and locate my flight gate. It seems like a tight schedule and a lot to do twice. I am concerned about making it in time for my connection, which is DL657 to Kauai, HI.

I recently travelled from Savannah to Bengaluru on December 31st, [redacted]. Being an overweight woman nearing 59, I required wheelchair assistance throughout my journey due to limited mobility and inability to understand foreign languages. The assistance was provided in Savannah and Atlanta airports, but in Atlanta, the attendant left me at the wrong boarding gate. After a long layover, I discovered the mistake when questioning the gate staff. With the help of a kind Indian couple, I managed to find the correct gate on time, only to face another obstacle in Paris where no wheelchair assistance was arranged, despite booking it online with KML. The staff in Paris were unhelpful, stating I should have requested a wheelchair in Atlanta before boarding. This critical information was never communicated. The lack of assistance had a significant impact on me, causing distress and raising concerns about traveling alone in the future. The unprofessional and inconsiderate behavior of Delta Airlines has left me feeling abandoned and questioning their moral responsibility towards passengers in need of assistance. This experience has not only affected my travel plans but has also caused my family to reconsider allowing me to travel alone.

I came across a news story about someone falsely claiming to have cancer for an upgrade. I am a stage 4 breast cancer patient living in the UK, looking to travel one way to Colorado in April. I was hoping to inquire about any available concessions for cancer patients. I can provide a doctor's letter and do not require personal assistance, just seeking some assistance, not a freebie. I arrived at Chicago Midway at 10:50 am on January 3, [redacted]. Unfortunately, my luggage was lost, leaving me with no clothes for my sister's funeral on Thursday. Feeling at a loss, I had to purchase clothes just in case Delta couldn't locate my luggage. I only recovered my luggage at 12:41 am, well past midnight. The situation was already distressing with my sister's passing, and the added stress of missing luggage made it worse. I ended up spending money I couldn't afford. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

However, on December 15th, the Foreign Office issued an official travel warning due to severe unrest in Peru. We tried to cancel or rebook our flight, but both your staff at New York Airport and the hotline were unable to find a solution. While everyone was understanding, nothing was done. Since we still have no resolution and had to fly to a "safe country" at our own expense from New York, I am requesting clarification and a partial refund of our ticket costs within 14 days. I would like to express my gratitude towards an employee at the Atlanta airport. Stephenie, who was at gate B-2 on the 18th of January during the boarding of flight DL [redacted] to Myrtle Beach, gave the best preboarding announcement I have ever heard. It was clear, precise, and complete, which is not always the case due to volume issues. I appreciated the inclusion of retired military personnel in the priority boarding announcement, as it is often just for active duty military. Stephenie personally thanked me for my service and offered upgraded seating that was available. The steward onboard assisted us with the seating relocation, which was a nice gesture. I also had the chance to visit the military lounge, which was a pleasant surprise. Despite some technical issues on my previous flight from Buenos Aires to Atlanta on the same day, I appreciate the effort to resolve them promptly for the next passengers. Thank you, Stephenie, for being such a dedicated employee.

I had a frustrating experience trying to upgrade my upcoming trip to Amsterdam due to my health condition. After encountering long wait times on the phone and with the virtual agent, I finally spoke to a representative who couldn't assist me fully. I hoped to upgrade to Delta Comfort+ for me and my friend using my SkyPoints and her eCredits, but the system issues made it impossible. Now the booking options have changed, and I feel stuck. Given our age and limited opportunities to travel, I urgently need a solution. My friend is willing to pay the difference if needed. The only acceptable outcome for me would be to revert to the previous availability of Comfort+ seats, with me using my SkyMiles and her using my eCredits before one of them expires soon. I'm disappointed with Delta's service and hope for a resolution to make this trip possible for us.
