I recently received a letter from FPI Management in California informing me of a data breach involving my personal information. After contacting FPI to confirm the authenticity of the letter, I am considering placing a Fraud Alert on my credit report. I am hesitant to do this online as I never disclose my information online, not even for credit reports. Given the prevalence of hackers, I am wary of sending personal information via mail as well. FPI has offered a year of credit monitoring through Experian, but I previously froze my accounts at all three credit reporting agencies 13 years ago. I am unsure if this freeze is still in effect and would like to verify. I attempted to provide my phone number for verification but do not own a text-capable smartphone. Could the verification code be sent to my phone number or email on file instead?

Hello Representative, I am April Morgan and I have disputed multiple accounts, both online and in writing, providing my ID and previous addresses. Unfortunately, the items have not been removed. My current address on my Missouri driver's license does not match the incorrect address on my Experian account, which does not exist in Missouri or anywhere in the U.S. When I sent my letter, it was returned after being delayed for over a month. Even though I provided the correct address and information, the incorrect address at [redacted] Charleston Dr. Hazelwood MO. [redacted] persists. Despite being advised by representatives to contact the creditor reporting the wrong address, the creditor confirmed they are not the source of the error. I seek your assistance in resolving this issue promptly. Thank you for looking into this matter.

In September [redacted], I encountered a scam and reached out to Experian to report it. Unfortunately, this led to an unintentional sign-up for a $21.95 monthly credit report service. Despite contacting my credit card company and receiving assurance that the charges would cease after October 27, [redacted], I have been billed from November to April. I have disputed all charges beyond October. The current charges are $21.95 for March 22 and April 21, totaling $43.90 for this month. I kindly request the refund of $43.90 to be credited back to my account.

When I try to log in, I receive a pop-up indicating technical problems and an assurance that it's being addressed. This issue occurred on 10/9/20, 1/26/21, and 5/8/21. When trying to lift a security freeze, I receive an error message and a suggestion to call for assistance. However, contacting support via phone leads to an automated sequence that doesn't let me proceed. When requesting customer support, I receive various unhelpful responses despite contacting them during their listed hours. These challenges have resulted in me being unable to access my account to verify my report and unable to lift the freeze, causing disruptions with loan applications with certain auto sellers who solely use this credit agency.

I have noticed two recent charges on my debit card from your credit help agency, Experian. The charges were made on May 14, [redacted], and May 17, [redacted], each for $24.99. I have not used the service and would like a refund for both charges as well as to cancel my membership, which I believe should have already been done. When I tried to contact customer service on the 14th, I was unable to speak to a representative from your company and only interacted with other entities who could not assist me. I require a credit freeze removal in order to secure a mortgage approval. I haven't interacted with Experian except for placing freezes due to past security breaches. I am encountering issues lifting the freeze without an Experian PIN. The website instructs me to mail copies of my ID and other documents to a Texas PO Box, which may cause delays as I need this resolved promptly. I am willing to pay for expedited assistance.

I have just spent 50 minutes online and on the phone trying to set up an account on www.experianidworks.com/3bcredit. During the online process, I unintentionally ended up with a new membership and a one-month free trial. After contacting customer care at [redacted], a representative struggled to verify my identity. I then connected with a support specialist at [redacted]. She successfully confirmed my identity and helped me create a valid ID and password. However, I am unsure if I now have one or two accounts. I should have a two-year free account from engagement number B013594 with activation code VY342JYH4. Can you confirm if this account is active, and if I am enrolled in any additional free or paid accounts, please cancel them so I can solely use the account associated with engagement number VY342JYH4.

I'm experiencing ongoing issues with a freeze on my account with Hughes Net. Despite multiple attempts via both online and phone support, the problem persists. After speaking with a live representative and providing my information, I was informed there was no freeze. However, subsequent checks revealed that the freeze was still in place. It has been frustrating to deal with this as I have spent numerous hours trying to resolve it. The automated system seems unable to address the actual problem effectively. I was charged a monthly fee of $21.95 that I never agreed to. They claimed it was free or just a dollar, then sneakily imposed the charge. This kind of business practice is truly disappointing. I made it clear that I wanted to cancel and demanded a refund dating back to February. Despite their attempts to offer alternatives, I firmly insisted on canceling and receiving my money back. I emphasized that their "free" service was deceptive, and I threatened to report them to the BBB. After a long conversation, they finally agreed to issue a credit to my account. I made sure to get a confirmation number. Dealing with this situation has been frustrating, and it's apparent that many others are experiencing similar issues.

I use a debt management company to pay my 4 credit cards monthly through automatic withdrawals. Unfortunately, in May, they failed to make the payments due to a system glitch, leading me to receive a warning from Citi Bank. As of 5/29, my FICO score was [redacted], but now, due to the missed payments, my Experian score has dropped significantly to [redacted]. I am distressed by the impact of Golden State Debt Management's error on my credit score and potential housing situation as my landlord is selling the house, and I was planning to move to South Carolina. The decline in my credit score may hinder my ability to secure a lease, putting me at risk of homelessness. Despite lodging a complaint, Golden State has only waived the service charge for May, leaving me overwhelmed with despair after diligently striving to improve my credit over the past year.

I am having trouble accessing my Google and Experian accounts. My Google account has one name, and my Experian account has another. Despite setting up a new password just 20 minutes ago successfully, I am now unable to access either account with it. Experian recognizes my username but claims not to find any accounts matching it when I try to reset the password. It is frustrating that my username and password cannot be linked correctly. I have attempted the password reset process twice, each time with the same username provided. I am concerned about what else might not be connected to my account correctly. I cannot unlock my account to purchase a car because Experian could not process my request to lift the security freeze. I have to send a letter along with copies of my ID, a utility bill, and my Social Security card to Experian at the address provided. They will validate the information and lift the security freeze for the requested period.

Experian suggested LendingClub as a loan company. However, the website redirected me to PLAID for ACH setup without loan approval. Subsequently, email and phone verifications were requested. The suspicious phone verification seemed like phishing, repeatedly asking for irrelevant personal information. Cancelling the bank ACH linking application, I strongly object to this phishing practice that Experian endorses. In a different matter, despite Wells Fargo's promise to enhance my credit by enrolling me in a personal line of credit, the 16.9% interest rate remained unchanged over the years. The personal line of credit was terminated without offering an alternative for credit improvement. Sadly, at 67, with lenders allowing toxic assets, I see no hope while the financial loan industry faces no consequences. The system seems unjust.

I have an old account on my credit report regarding a car note I paid off for $[redacted]. It's been nearly four months since the payment was made to the bank. Initially, the bank representative assured me the account would be marked as settled after 30 days, but I discovered this was not the case when I inquired in the second month. I was advised to contact the Credit company to request they communicate with the bank to have the account updated on my credit report. Despite settling the debt in full, the bank has yet to remove it from my report, which is causing frustration as it's been over 60 days now.

Upon reviewing my credit report, I discovered that there is an error with the Social Security number listed. Instead of ending in [redacted], it shows a different number, around [redacted]. I attempted to rectify this discrepancy online, but I was prompted to contact a specific number for further assistance. To my disappointment, the provided number only led me to an automated system without access to a live customer service agent. My correct Social Security number should end in [redacted]. For reference, my member ID is [redacted][redacted].

I contacted Citi Bank about my statement that closed on August 9th, showing an incorrect balance of $2,[redacted] on my credit report instead of $87.77. They informed me that it was reported between midnight on August 8th and 9th. I was advised to reach out to you as my other card balances are low or at $0. I am working on building Business Credit for my company, and the credit utilization has a significant impact. Although my other factors are in good standing, this error is affecting my credit score. I maintain low balances and pay my bills in full each month. I have a good relationship with BOA, but I want to improve my score to excellent. I am disputing this discrepancy and seeking assistance to resolve it.

After my bank, SunTrust, merged with another bank and became Truist, I encountered issues with Experian insisting I update my login details. Despite SunTrust now being Truist, the option to select it as my new bank is unavailable. I have not changed my user ID or password, only the bank name has changed. It's crucial to remove SunTrust from the list of banks since it no longer exists under that name. The repeated emails prompting me to alter my unchanged credentials have been frustrating. It seems there is confusion either at Experian's end or SunTrust's IT department.

Some months ago, I received a letter from my bank, with Experian's address on it, informing me about a cyber security breach and offering a one-year subscription to affected customers. Following the link provided, I set up an account. However, when trying to log in, my credentials are not recognized. I am trying to access my credit report without having to provide excessive information. While accessing reports from other bureaus is easy, I am encountering difficulties with one. I believe the issue lies with the ambiguous questions on the report, like the distinction between Discover Bank and Discover Card. Additionally, recalling old addresses and phone numbers from nine years ago is challenging. I would like to speak with customer service to resolve this matter directly and find a solution to confirm my identity without the need to send additional documents.

I am experiencing difficulties printing my credit report with the hard inquiries. The printed pages are coming out blank. I noticed that Experian has the highest number of inquiries, could this be the reason my Experian score is 60 points lower than TransUnion and Equifax? I am looking to clean up, remove, and improve my report without incurring additional fees. I only require the pages with hard inquiries to dispute any duplicates or unauthorized inquiries. Many entries date back 3 years when I did not make any purchases, only browsed or used cards for Christmas. Is there a regulation for this situation?
