In connection with the two listings I have with Homeaway (Links bellow) I have *recently received the following email which is causing me great concern. The option for me to list the properties correctly does not present itself. These properties are gites. They are self catering rental properties for holidaymakers. They are attached to my permanent home but they are not themselves a place of permanent residence. Secondly I have registered the gites with the Mairies office of Barjac, France but the ** figure registration numbner is not a system that hs been adopted by Barjac or la Communaut* de Communes de C*ze C*vennes. Please advise if any further action is required to ensure the continued listing of my properties with Homeaway *https:**www.homeaway.co.uk*lm****.*******.********description.html*https:**www.homeaway.co.uk*lm****.*******.********description.html*Regards*Graham Wilson***Beginning January *, your property must meet additional requirements to comply with French regulations.***Dear Graham,*The French authorities have requested us to implement changes to how you list your property on HomeAway to comply with applicable laws and regulations.**Maximum number of nights rented**One of those changes is a ***-night limit for properties considered as primary homes and has asked vacation-rental platforms like HomeAway to enforce this rule in some cities. **If you have a primary home and you book more than *** days, we'll send you a notification and block your calendar for the remainder of the year. **We are required to enforce the rule to any property declared as or that might be a primary home. **Navigate to the Registration link in the Description tab of your property editor to answer a few questions as soon as possible so we can confirm if this applies to you.*Go to your property editor***Registration**If your city requires a registration number, you must add it to your listing. This will avoid incurring fines and penalties, such as being delisted from the HomeAway platform.
