All this corporate gobbling up of independent booking sites will experience retaliation from frequent travellers. Once we all share our experiences and vital information.
It's impossible to contact anyone at Home Away expediently and receive a response. Or should I be contacting Expedia now?
I expect an explanation and a refund for the two nights based on the sum paid. $*,***.**. I would also expect Home Away to honour the first quote $*,***.** and refund me $***.** AU for each of the two nights. In addition I am requesting my booking fee be returned.
I left my usual booking site AirBnB due to the absurd greed of Owners. I had been using AirBnB*since its inception. Not now. Not Ever. An Australian friend recommended Home Away.
I have written to Home Away when I discovered the error last week but have not received a response. I am considering contacting my credit card company. Fraud or incompetence remains an unwelcome. business practise.
