I recently received a direct message from a friend on Instagram asking for help accessing their account. Unfortunately, I later realized it was a spam bot pretending to be my friend. I provided them with a screenshot of a link they sent, which allowed them to hack into my account. The hacker changed all my account details and activated Two-Step Authentication. Despite attempting to recover my account through the Instagram Help Desk and facial recognition, I was unsuccessful. I have sentimental value attached to the account as I've had it for nearly a decade and it holds many cherished memories. The username is gladystheninja, my profile picture features me and my dog, and there are over [redacted] posts on the account. I would appreciate any assistance in regaining access to my account.

My Instagram account got locked last Sunday, 6/19, due to "suspicious activity." I followed the on-screen instructions, expecting a 6-digit code via email to regain access, but I haven't received the code despite trying on different devices. I've verified my email's correctness as I've received Instagram emails before. I contacted Yahoo support, ruling out issues on their end. I don't have my phone # or Facebook linked, just email. Despite checking spam, the code isn't there. I emailed Instagram support, but their response to "enter the 6-digit code" doesn't resolve my problem. I've attempted daily for a week with no success.

I unknowingly violated Instagram's policies by logging into a third-party app using my Instagram account 48 hours ago. Consequently, my account has been disabled. I have tried various suggested solutions without success: unblocking a number for confirmation codes, changing IP addresses, and submitting petitions to Instagram multiple times without receiving confirmation. At this point, I'm left waiting and hoping Instagram will acknowledge my appeals and restore my account. I've been using Instagram for 7 to 8 years, and this is my first offense, which I believe to be a mistake as I was unaware of the violation. I'm actively seeking to appeal the decision and regain access to my account.

Hello, I have an Instagram account that I deleted, but I have until 07/23/[redacted] to restore it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times, but I can't access my account on my phone or PC through any browser. Whenever I try to set a new password, it asks for a different one from my current password, even though I've tried changing it multiple times. I can't reach Instagram for help, and I haven't linked my account to Facebook. Uploading the video with facial recognition always shows a network error. Please help me troubleshoot this issue; I'm unsure what to do.

He requested my help to recover his account and asked for my phone number, which I shared with him. I later received a reset link for his account on my phone. Instead of instructing me to click the link, he requested a screenshot of the message, which I sent. Subsequently, I was logged out of my own account, and he gained access, changed the password, and enabled two-factor authentication. Although I was able to reset the password via email, I am unable to access my account due to the two-factor authentication prompt for a 6-digit code or backup code, which I do not possess. Following this, I found myself logged out of my own account, as he had gained unauthorized access, changed the password, and activated two-factor authentication. Despite successfully changing the password through my email, I am unable to access my account due to the enforced two-factor authentication, requiring a 6-digit code or backup code that I do not possess. A resolution to this predicament would entail Instagram disabling the two-factor authentication.

Hello, I installed report + two weeks ago, and Instagram did not recognize my phone. As a result, my account was temporarily locked because they thought it was a hack, but it was still me. Good afternoon! My account got hacked, but I managed to restore it; however, all my photos were removed. When I tried to restore them, they disappeared during the process, even though I had 29 more days for recovery. After restarting my account, logging out, logging back in, and reinstalling the Zakovo app, the photos in the basket didn't reappear. I'm confused about what happened and need help getting the deleted photos back from the trash. The account photo is below: @ultra_promo. Thank you so much!

I recently upgraded my phone and unfortunately, after transferring everything over, I realized that my Instagram two-factor authentication set up with Duo got disabled in the process. Despite knowing my username and password, I am locked out as I can't receive the six-digit code anymore. I tried using all my recovery codes but none of them are working. It seems that Duo made changes in October which required toggling something for third-party apps, a step I missed as I was always signed in and never needed a code before. Now, I can't toggle it back on because I no longer have access to my old phone. I've attempted sending a video selfie for verification, but since my pictures mainly consist of my kids and pets, it seems to have trouble recognizing me.

Yesterday, I started talking to an acquaintance who had a grudge against me and was sending offensive messages to my account. Today, around five fifteen in the afternoon, my Instagram was hacked while I was chatting with him. Now, when I try to log into Instagram, it won't let me access because it asks for a verification code after asking for another verification code, but the second one does not let me access it in any way. I have tried to reset my account through an SMS and email, but there has been no solution. I have called Instagram's phone number and also sent an email to their Instagram account, but there has been no response. I need to regain access to my account because it is personal, and offensive photos could be posted or messages sent to people I follow, among other things.

My best friend's accounts got hacked without her sharing her password. Now, Instagram has banned all her accounts unfairly. She hasn't received any help from Instagram support. Hello, on 29.06.[redacted], my Instagram account was hacked. The scammers posted on my page that my son got hit by a car, asking for money and blood type 4+, and posted photos and stories. I couldn't access my page as they changed the email, passwords, and phone number. Later, my friends reported all the posts and stories, and the page got blocked because it was unbearable to read. I tried to access the page later but couldn't. I started looking for clues on how this happened and saw an email on 22.06.[redacted] about changing the password. Since I didn't deny it, the scammers took advantage of it. I tried to log in using my username, but a different phone number is linked, and the link goes to the scammers. I can't log in via email or phone as it says not found. Please help me restore my Instagram account. I can confirm it with photos or any other means. My username, initial post, and the previous phone number. Please help me recover my account. What should I do if scammers changed all the information?
