I bought a gun safe at the Menards on Elida Rd Lima, Ohio. The signage, with sku *, said $***. I rang it up, had other things I bought and didn’t realize I was charged $**** for the safe. I realized before I left the store, went to customer service and they would not honor the price posted. I had to come back the next day, talk to the manager Matt and he refused to honor the advertised price. Of course, by the next day they had changed the signage but I have pictures of the safe, price and close up price with sku *. I did refund the safe. I have never had a store refuse to honor the price that was on the item. I do a lot of business with menards, not all on my menards card, mostly debit and cash. This is very poor business practice and is very well an illegal practice. I’m not really expecting you to do anything, customer service is nonexistent with many companies today but I will say I’m not planning to shop at Menards if I can find it at Lowes. Again, one less customer probably doesn’t matter to your company either. Thank you for your time.
