I encountered a scam where a popup claimed there was a security breach on my computer and child porn present. I reluctantly called the number provided and spoke with 'Samuel' from the "Microsoft Technical Team," who persuaded me to buy IDS software with Target gift cards to remove the alleged threats. Subsequently, 'Patrick' took over and requested more gift cards for additional issues. They even sent emails and texts to authenticate the fake purchases. Now, they persistently demand more money through calls and texts. I received suspicious emails from a bogus Microsoft account with varied phone numbers. I uninstalled AnyDesk and seek advice on safeguarding my computer from such scams. The scammers obtained my details since the initial call. I wonder how to handle this situation and prevent future attacks. Tom Siguaw

Subject: Surface Laptop 3 Issues To whom it may concern, I'm reaching out to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the Surface Laptop 3 and the lack of support I've encountered. I bought the laptop in January [redacted] and was pleased with its performance up until early [redacted]. It's a platinum, 13.5" 16GB, 256GB storage device that has been great for travel due to its portability. Around the beginning of [redacted], I started experiencing slow performance despite updating and defragging the hard drive. I also noticed it wasn't charging to [redacted]% even when left plugged in overnight, similar to the issue described here: [redacted]. I tried to get it repaired at a private shop and Best Buy, but both said they couldn't work on it due to difficulty reaching the battery. Best Buy offered only $12 for it, claiming the battery was the only problem. I'm now facing the dilemma of discarding a computer in good condition except for an inaccessible battery issue that I didn't cause. Is there any way I can seek compensation given that it's out of warranty? Sincerely, Kirk T.

I have games I can't download on my new Xbox Series S console. Some games appear as owned while others don't. After purchasing, some games are not showing up in my library. This issue only happens when I transition from the old generation to the new generation. When logged in on the old console, all games are visible, but when I switch to the Series S, many games are missing or show as owned but can't be installed. Another problem is that after changing my gamer tag, I don't see my new name reflected in old gen games or social clubs.

My laptop is running significantly slow, to the extent that I cannot access my Amex account online. I have contacted Amex multiple times, and they attribute the issue to either my computer settings or too much clutter on the device. Since my Internet connection works well for everything else, the problem likely lies with my laptop. I attempted to update drivers and clean up unnecessary files, but the laptop remains slow. I reached out to Microsoft Technical Support online via chat (Case #[redacted]), but I could not follow through with the technician's recommendations and lost contact with them. I have tried various solutions that have not improved the situation, and I may need to revert the settings to their original configurations. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - G.G.

Hello, I would like to report 10 unauthorized charges on my Xbox Live account on November 9, [redacted], totaling $[redacted].11 each. The transactions, for FIFA gift cards in Chinese receipts, occurred between 3 to 4 AM CST. I promptly cancelled the card to prevent further unauthorized charges. Despite my efforts with Goldman Sachs since November, I have not been able to resolve this issue. They informed me today that I need to contact the merchant, Microsoft, which has been challenging. I seek assistance as I feel helpless in this situation with no success reaching Microsoft to address this matter efficiently. Thank you, A.M.

After a recent Microsoft Edge update, all my programs disappeared and reinstalling them has been a challenge. Third-party programs, like Dell Support Assist, are particularly difficult to restore. The platform settings are now different from what I had before, without any prior notification from Microsoft. I'm frustrated by the changes and worried about potential issues migrating to Windows 11. The adjustment affected not only my Dell XPS8930 with Windows 10 Home 64-bit and BIOS version 1.23.1 but also my LifeLock account and other third-party apps I rely on. I need Microsoft's help to restore everything correctly without unnecessary extras. Remote assistance, like I received two years ago, would be greatly appreciated to fix the issues caused by the update.

1) After removing an email account from Outlook, I am facing difficulties with my desktop Outlook connecting to the MSExchange server. The deleted account's old sign-in page pops up when I click "Need Password." Initially, I accessed the client's exchange server through VPN, but now it prompts the deleted account's sign-in page instead of connecting to my GoDaddy email server for updates, even though the email "[redacted]" has been deleted. 2) I am encountering issues signing into my Microsoft account. Unintentionally, I removed a link to a business that seems to have affected my computer. Now, when trying to sign in and selecting the sole account available, "[redacted]," a message appears, stating that my account requires the addition of the "tenant" account for sign-in to be successful.

I encountered an issue trying to access my Outlook email. I was unexpectedly logged out and attempted various old passwords, including my phone number's last digits and the 'I'm not a robot' verification. After too many unsuccessful tries, I am currently locked out and must wait until tomorrow. As a realtor, I heavily rely on my Outlook for business and need access urgently to respond to important deals. I believe I now recall my current password, but I am unable to confirm until I am allowed back in. Your prompt assistance in unlocking my account would be greatly appreciated. For contact, please reach me at [redacted] I am temporarily accessing emails through my Yahoo account for responses. Thank you for your help.

I have purchased three Microsoft Office [redacted] email IDs, which I have set up on my desktops and mobile phones. A former staff member had the emails set up on their mobile phone when they left. Despite changing the passwords, the new password is still syncing to all connected devices, giving them continued access. I am seeking guidance from the Microsoft Office [redacted] team on how to logout of the mail accounts on the mobile phones or how to log out of all devices where the account is active. -A.M.

I am experiencing difficulty accessing my Minecraft account. While attempting to log back in, I encountered an issue preventing me from using the app. The original email associated with the account is [redacted], which belonged to my late mother. Unfortunately, I am unable to access her email or transfer it to mine for easier access. I have been seeking assistance by phone, but due to the online nature of help services, I have been unable to find a viable solution. My main challenge is regaining access to Minecraft and continuing to use my account, which holds sentimental value as it was a gift from my mother approximately 7 to 8 years ago. Since her passing almost a year ago, I have been unable to utilize my account. I also attempted to use my Hotmail account, but I cannot recall the password, leaving me feeling lost and unsure of the next steps to take.

I need help accessing my Outlook email account. When I attempt to log in, I am redirected to Microsoft's account recovery form. Despite submitting it multiple times with detailed information such as recent contacts and email subjects, the system still cannot verify my account. I would prefer speaking with a real person instead of an automated system to resolve this issue efficiently.

I am experiencing issues with my account today (10 July [redacted]). I could only access my Outlook messages on my computer, which has not been a problem in the past years, specifically on my Galaxy Note 9 since around [redacted]. However, today, I suddenly cannot view my emails on my phone. When attempting to recover my account, the information provided is not allowing me to do so. I was sent a 4-digit verification code to my Gmail, but it is now asking for a 7-digit code. There have been no new logins from different devices or locations. I am unable to reach support via phone and keep getting directed to online help. Accessing Outlook on my MacBook Air presents no problems. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I signed up for a new Hotmail account to use with Skype. When I changed phones, I mistakenly entered the password incorrectly multiple times and the account got blocked. I tried the recovery form twice without success. I now recall my password but am still unable to access the account due to it being blocked. The recovery form requires various details, and I can only provide two. I remember the first password I used and the only person I communicated with on Skype, but these details are not enough to recover the account. I'm seeking advice on next steps. Although I can submit the form repeatedly, I lack additional information to provide as I used the account solely for communicating with one person on Skype.

I was referred by Dell for help. I've been experiencing issues with Outlook email since Monday. The technician had to escalate the problem to Microsoft, who contacted me yesterday. They were able to access my email with the address [redacted] I was instructed to delete items from webmail to reduce the volume, which I did yesterday. However, this action not only cleared my webmail but also removed my last two days' worth of emails, which included over [redacted] read emails. The Dell technician suggested reaching out to Microsoft for further assistance. Today, I noticed that deleting emails in either webmail or Outlook resulted in them being removed from both platforms. The webmail technician mentioned that they could be synced. I hope that you can help recover my lost [redacted] read emails from Monday and Tuesday.

Hello, I believe my account has been compromised. A new email address "trash@mailnesia" was used to change my existing email without my knowledge or notification. This unauthorized change has left me unable to access my important account. Despite trying various automated troubleshooting methods, I have been unsuccessful. This account is crucial for my work as it is linked to my professional certifications in Dynamics [redacted] Finance & Operations. I am confident that if I can speak with a Microsoft representative, I can provide the necessary information to validate my claim. Unfortunately, the automated system is not allowing me to do so. I am seeking assistance on how I can escalate this issue to a human support agent at Microsoft, whether through chat, email, or phone. I hope to resolve this matter promptly and regain access to my compromised account. Sincerely, Daniel

I received an email that caused my computer to be blocked and was instructed to call a tech support number. After realizing the alleged Microsoft technician was a fake, I contacted another number. I later discovered that the person I spoke to represented Security First LLC, a third-party provider of Microsoft services affiliated with Connect America Group Inc. I was able to restore my computer functionality and signed up for a 5-year Network Firewall plan for $[redacted]. I would appreciate confirmation that Security First is indeed a legitimate third-party tech provider and assurance that my computer is now secure. Leonard S. [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]

I am requesting assistance in regaining access to my email address [redacted] as it seems that it has been compromised with the password and phone number being changed. Despite completing the recovery form several times and including as much relevant information as possible, the form keeps failing the automatic validation check, prompting me to resubmit it. I've diligently provided all available details, such as the devices and usual locations used to log into my account, to no avail. I am seeking alternative methods beyond the current automated form process to recover my account, such as reinstating the phone number which was previously associated with the account until Monday. Thank you for your assistance, Richard

I'm unable to sign into my ASUS notebook and when I clicked on "Forgot PIN" they asked for my password for [redacted] After pressing "Forgot Password" they offered to send a security code to my email. Even after selecting to get a code, I was unable to receive it. Instead, I was directed to verify my identity on a web page provided. Following the web link, I was instructed to wait 24 hours for verification after filling in some details. They even requested previous passwords, which I found challenging. To proceed, I'm planning to change my Gmail password for [redacted] Could someone ensure that a password reset is sent to me promptly since my laptop isn't functioning, and I have a limited understanding of my previous passwords?
