Mr. Tipsord,**I have held a State Farm insurance policy at $** per month, for a $**K Whole Life Insurance Policy, for ** years. My new **** Toyota Camry is insured with State Farm after a decade of State Farm auto insurance for my Kia.**Last Monday I went to the State Farm website to withdraw $*,*** from my IRA - I get no penalty since I am disabled. It is always very easy to do and the money is deposited into my checking account in * days.**You know what a debacle this new system has been or maybe other customers were actually told by their agents that this new system would be in place and that withdrawals would not be issued as before. So after getting nowhere on the State Farm website I emailed per ‘Contact Info’ on the website and again - more confusion.**The point - it is Saturday and the new IRA graph shows that no withdrawal has been made. My agent was aghast when I called and told him that I would have to get my withdrawals through him (I learned this via telephone with State Farm agent) — he doesn’t want to do this - I should call another agent - I asked if he was quitting. No - but it takes an hour to wait on the phone. I said this is too much and I am moving my IRA to another place. He said that’s a good idea and he is going to do that too.**So I asked if I needed to come in and fill out paperwork - no. He said he couldn’t call State Farm until the next day. Only at *:**am would he be able to get through. The next day - all was well and he hoped that the withdrawal would go through. But he did need to do some more work to get the order done such as selling my share, which he had never done before. The day after this I was told by this agent to come into the office and sign new paperwork (remember - he previously said I would not have to do this when I - not he - brought it up days earlier). And to bring a voided check.**Having just returned home from my brother’s home to support him as he copes with two close and premature tragedies in ** months (the agent was told this is why getting new life insurance for my ** year old is a priority) I returned a call to the agent telling me that I must come into the office — I had to drive over - and do this. I did so immediately.**I was very nice and patient and understanding until the agent in a relaxed manner announced as I sat down to sign this paperwork - ‘I should have gone to the training for this.’ That was it.****. I don’t want my IRA withdrawals or amount to be known by my agent - I want it to be private.***. I don’t want an amateur who ‘hopes’ he ‘gets it right’ withdrawing my money especially since I don’t get the **% early withdrawal penalty.***. Guess what? I need that money - an unexpected expense came up and the repairman cashed in my $*** payment immediately. I have bills that are deducted from my checking account and I have never had an overdrawn problem.***. I told my daughter - When you work, don’t ever complain to the customer about your company or your job. Only complain to your boss.**Oh, and as I was leaving the office the agent again notified me that he would not be doing this in the future - frustrated I said, “I don’t care, I’m moving my money.”**I pay $*** a month between life and auto insurance. That’s a lot of money to me. If this agent notified me - as he knew this situation was oncoming — a mailing to his local customers with just a paragraph and what to do — no problem. I would understand. But ‘I should have gone for the training.’ And why didn’t the corporate State Farm office inform all of its customers?**So bad — looking for other options as soon as my daughter’s life insurance is approved or not - she has mild autism.**Sincerely,**Theresa Clarke*** Village Walk*Wilton, CT. *****
