Good afternoon, I am Miguel Perdomo. I would like to explain what happened with the bank to see if you can help me. I made some online purchases and money was being taken from my account. I called the bank to file a complaint, but the bank disputed and I didn't realize they had disputed a payment I made with you until later. I already spoke with the bank, and they informed me they had already taken action and couldn't do anything more. I explained to the bank that I am working with you for future charges and I would like to see if my account could be reactivated, please. I am currently unemployed due to the misunderstanding with the bank. I apologize and urgently request your assistance. Thank you.

I am L from Lous Wallpapering. Recently, I had an unfortunate incident with a customer named T. I completed wallpapering at her house, and although I did a good job, she found a razor blade tip on the floor and countertop after I left. She also claimed to have found a Band-Aid in her sink. Despite apologizing, she is now demanding a refund and threatening to extort money from me. She is exaggerating the situation by mentioning hypothetical scenarios involving her children. I believe she reported me to Thumbtack, resulting in the deactivation of my account. I am requesting for my account to be reactivated. If T is unsatisfied, she has the option to leave a review, but shutting down my account is not justified. To reach me, please call Lous Wallpapering at [redacted]. I recently completed a wallpaper job for a customer who is now disputing the payment. Despite the customer being initially happy with the work and paying me, there seems to have been some misunderstandings afterward. While working, I accidentally cut my finger and left a tiny blade on the floor, which I missed noticing. The customer became upset when she found the blade and the Band-Aid in the sink and is now demanding a full refund, citing safety concerns for her children. I have apologized multiple times and offered explanations, but she continues to insist on a refund. I believe the situation has been blown out of proportion, as no actual harm occurred. I am not willing to refund the money as I believe it is undeserved. Please reinstate my account and advise the customer accordingly.

Seeking Information Contractor: Phillip Miller Service: Outdoor Landscaping and Design Location: Prescott, AZ [redacted] Complaint: My initial attempt with Thumbtack did not go as planned. Despite planning to sign up for the $49 offer, the contractor never attended our scheduled appointment. Phillip Miller from Desert Pines Landscaping in Prescott, AZ, failed to show up today as arranged. Communication was established by text, setting the meeting between 4 and 5 pm, with an assurance of a notification call upon arrival which never happened. In light of this experience, I seek reliability from Thumbtack's professionals. The alternative recommendation, Sons Landscaping LLC, also did not reach out to me. I engaged Ecogreen from Cornelius, NC on 02/01/[redacted] to install conduit and connect it to my house. Initially, they assisted in securing a loan which they said was guaranteed. I was satisfied with the outcome and relieved. They assured me they would handle all the paperwork and arrange for the inspector. However, 4 months later, they informed me they don't usually do that and the worker who completed the job no longer works for them. After some time, they did manage to contact the inspector who approved the work. On 09/06/[redacted], I discovered the conduit had fallen to the ground. Upon inspection, I noticed it was attached with inadequate 1" screws. When I contacted them, they claimed it wasn't guaranteed and I was left in a difficult position. Despite reaching out to the Better Business Bureau with no success, being a senior on a fixed income, I cannot afford another loan and am left with wires on the ground. I strongly believe the conduit should have been secured with more substantial screws. I am uncertain about the next steps. Thank you for addressing this issue. - Johanna B.

I was searching for a light landscaping service provider and was approached by Fidel Hernandez offering his services. Despite not having read all his reviews, I asked about his availability. Upon noticing his consistently rude responses to negative reviews, I decided not to engage with him. Today, on Friday, September 30, [redacted], Mr. Hernandez messaged me at 2:39 pm asking about the estimate. I declined. He then questioned my presence on Thumbtack without the intention to hire him, mentioning he paid for the lead. He included a screenshot of a $22.22 charge for the lead. Having used Thumbtack before, I found his behavior highly unprofessional and distressing. I do not wish for any future contact from him on Thumbtack or any other platform.

I am facing threats from a service we hired to clean our house today. Due to our family being unwell and to prevent the spread of sickness, we prefer not to have anyone over. With 5 kids and being 9 months pregnant, isolating one person isn't feasible as all bedrooms need attention. I contacted them last night within business hours, only to discover they now claim there's a cancellation fee not mentioned on their website or Thumbtack posting. Despite my willingness to reschedule when better, they are threatening legal action. This behavior has led me to avoid using Thumbtack for cleaning services in the future, relying on personal referrals instead. My husband tried reaching out last night but was told to call during business hours, which we did twice today during their specified times, with no response. While Amparo’s Cleaning Service may have top ratings for their work, their customer service leaves much to be desired. If cancellation fees are to be enforced, they must disclose this clearly on their profiles. We will share our experience via reviews on Thumbtack and Google as a warning to others. I received a direct lead from a Thumbtack customer for a job category and location I don't cover. The lead was sent on a day I had blocked for jobs. Thumbtack is trying to charge me for this lead I wouldn't accept. I just logged in and saw the charge. What should I do? Thanks!

I have tried multiple times to reach out to your team using the text service, which seems to be the only contact option available. Unfortunately, even though I responded to a text from a representative this morning, sent while I was asleep (approximately 17 hours after my initial message), I still have not received a response. The issue I am encountering is with the application, which has been malfunctioning and reset my location settings to a previous setting, resulting in a booking outside of my designated area.

Ms. Rivera replied via email, but I can't open it because it requires an Apple or Google app that I don't have or want. My email to Ms. Rivera bounced back. I am experiencing difficulty accessing Thumbtack Pro. Initially, I signed up using the Apple option with no problems for a year. Recently, I noticed a lack of job requests, which seemed odd over the holidays. Upon trying to log in last week, I was surprised to see a message stating my account had been deactivated, something I did not initiate. I was then presented with two options: "Not Now" and "Help Center." Upon visiting the Help Center, I followed the steps to reactivate my account via email, but received a response stating the email address linked to my account was not in their records, which is puzzling. A contractor advertised on Thumbtack as P.P.C Maintenance was recommended by the platform and tried to charge a $[redacted] surcharge before starting the work. After the homeowner paid, they returned to find trash on the floor, new tiles broken, attic door improperly installed, and their step ladder missing. The contractor arrived late, smoked inside, drank the homeowner's coffee, and used their money to buy accessories. Despite attempts to contact them all day, the contractor claimed to be at the house. When the sheriff was called, they were not present. The homeowner, frustrated by the experience, fired the contractor over the phone and canceled the $[redacted] check, holding the contractor responsible for the damages.

Chris reached out to me through Thumbtack for information, resulting in the charge. I found Alvarado Tile Installation and Repair through your website in January [redacted]. However, I noticed that they are no longer listed on the site. I have the final payment ready for them, but they are not providing me with their address to mail the check. They keep insisting on picking it up, which is not convenient for me. I require assistance in removing a one-star review I left for Trust Home Services in Rochester, New York mistakenly. The review was meant for Gilman Plumbing. I need to address an issue where Gilman Plumbing removed my hot and cold water valve without permission. They are now charging me $[redacted] to put a new valve behind my bath. This removal means that if there's a leak in the bathtub, I have to shut off the water supply for the entire house.

I employed Absolut LLC through your platform to repair my refrigerator that wasn't cooling. The technician didn't speak English, made a quick fix, and I paid $[redacted] through Zelle. However, the next day the fridge was still not working. Maxin, the owner, promised the technician would return but kept delaying until Monday. Despite numerous emails, the technician arrived on Tuesday but never finished the job. I had to buy a new fridge. When I asked Maxin for a refund, he disappeared.

I contacted Kylla Danz regarding the Lancome mascara incident. She applied the $32 mascara on me, did not return the full bottle, and is uncooperative when asked to return it or reimburse me. I offered her options, but she has not replied. I have evidence I didn't have the item after her house visit. I want a resolution promptly as I had to buy a replacement, which is unfair. I tried texting but was redirected to a lawyer service requiring a non-refundable fee, which I find inappropriate as a loyal customer. I need a direct conversation to resolve this promptly; otherwise, I will consider ending our relationship and sharing my experience on social media and with my BNI network.
