I am still waiting for my unemployment to be processed. In May [redacted], I reapplied for Florida DEO (unemployment) annual re-determination. I managed to speak to a Florida DEO agent once, assuring me that my information was fine but waiting for processing. Several months later, I logged into the FL DEO connect website and saw a message asking me to verify through ID.ME within 3 days. I completed the verification within the given time, despite the concerns I later learned about ID.ME hacking. After emailing a Florida Government Representative and being directed to resubmit a DEO complaint form, I went through multiple rounds of them escalating the issue. Unfortunately, after numerous attempts to follow up, I was told they could no longer assist and advised to contact the DEO help center, which has been unhelpful in my opinion. It has been 6 months since I reapplied, and I remain pending with no response to emails and the call center always busy. As temporary job openings are prevalent due to the pandemic, I have reported all earnings while claiming benefits. The system seems flawed, and it's frustrating that the government operates for its benefit rather than the people's.

I recently relocated from Boston to Florida and had a complex work situation with both employee and self-employed income. After losing my Florida job due to the pandemic in March [redacted], I applied for unemployment benefits, only to be denied without clear reasons given. Subsequently, I was advised to apply in Massachusetts, where my prior earnings were from, though I now reside in Florida. Fast forward to October [redacted], I was informed that I have been eligible for benefits all along, but my wage determination was inaccurately low at $[redacted] per week due to missing self-employment income. I seek assistance in getting the correct benefits owed to me, as I faced severe financial hardships last year unnecessarily. Navigating the system has been challenging as the website is not intuitive, and phone contact is nearly impossible with long wait times leading to disconnections. Seeking guidance on how to resolve this issue and secure the rightful benefits.

I am currently employed by the IBEW in Florida. In April and May of [redacted], I was laid off unexpectedly without receiving an official layoff slip. Despite being an apprentice for three years, the company I worked for had me waiting for about 5 weeks without work. I had a previous account with Florida Unemployment from years ago, but my wife signed me up with her email for a new account due to the situation. However, I received a letter about a fraud alert that required me to contact a specific number, but I was unable to reach anyone despite numerous attempts. Now, I have obtained Journeymen status with an official layoff slip, but I cannot access either my old account or the new one my wife created. Every time I call the job reemployment line, I am met with a message indicating heavy call volume, followed by a disconnection. I have tried sending multiple emails but have yet to receive any assistance or resolution.

I need assistance with my unemployment account. Someone accessed my account, changed the bank information, and claimed my weeks in early May. I managed to verify my identity through the website and a live interview, but I still couldn't access my account due to a code being sent to my old phone number. As a result, I couldn't claim weeks from March to September, totaling 22 weeks. The help center couldn't assist me in changing my phone number, providing me with an unhelpful contact named Nancy. I called the number she gave me, but it was closed. I feel stuck and need help resolving this issue promptly. Thank you.

I signed up through ID.me, but I am unable to log into my account to claim my weeks. The system says my PIN number is not valid. I have been unable to access my account and claim any weeks for three months. I cannot reach anyone by phone, and now my account is locked. I do not understand why. Due to my broken foot preventing me from working, I am now homeless. Could someone assist me, please?

I had a frustrating experience trying to contact Florida Unemployment to resolve issues with my unemployment benefits. Every time I called, the line stated they had a high call volume and disconnected. Similarly, accessing their website was also unsuccessful despite multiple attempts. I tried reaching out via Florida Unemployment and Idme.com, even changing passwords, but still couldn't log in. It has been a challenging situation as I attempted over 50 times both on the phone and online.

Hello, I have been unable to request my weeks since I accidentally deleted the authentication app on my phone where I scanned the QR code. After logging in with Connect, it asks for a username and password. I forgot the password and used the password recovery option, which sent me a recovery code. When I enter the recovery code from DEO, it asks for the authentication code from the application, which I know is the one obtained from scanning the QR code that I deleted accidentally. I contacted an ID.ME representative who informed me that only the DEO department could assist me.

I am having trouble accessing my Connect account. I first log on to DEO, receive an access number for verification on my phone, and then must sign back in to the DEO site. This is where the problem arises. Whenever I attempt to sign in, I am met with the message: "There was a problem processing your request. Please try again." Although I successfully accessed Connect last week, I have been unsuccessful since last Thursday, 12/23.

I was recently let go from my job in early December, and while I have work lined up, the start date has been delayed. I was trying to avoid filing for unemployment, but now I find myself in a financial bind with bills, including my car payment, due or overdue. I am unsure of the process for filing for unemployment and feeling lost. Are there immediate assistance options I can explore in this situation?

On November 22, [redacted], I was let go from my job in Florida, where I worked remotely from Georgia. After facing difficulties reaching anyone by phone, I searched online to determine where to file for unemployment. I followed the info I found and filed in Georgia. Eventually, Georgia informed me I should have filed in Florida. On December 21, [redacted], I started a new project before later attempting to file in Florida once it ended on January 20, [redacted]. When trying to file in Florida, ID.Me flagged that I already had a claim in Georgia. After using a different email, I gained access to the Florida system, receiving Claimant ID [redacted]. Unfortunately, when confirming if I expect to earn $[redacted] this week, answering "NO" led the system to block me from filing. Despite contacting the Marianna, Florida office, I was unable to resolve the issue. This whole situation has been a series of mistakes, and I am desperate for help to sort it out. Sincerely, T.B. I need to obtain a printout of my previous unemployment payments. I am having trouble accessing my records on your system because it keeps directing me to set up a new account. Despite my attempts to do so, it requests information that you already possess. Furthermore, it redirects me to two additional websites seeking more details which raises concerns about their safety. I am unsure if creating a new account will grant me access to the necessary records. Is there a way to view this information without setting up a fresh account? Additionally, I am unable to reach a representative through your phone system as it is entirely automated. Every option leads back to the website which insists on creating a new account. Even when I try to speak with a person, it notifies me of a "high call volume" and disconnects. I would greatly appreciate any assistance to resolve this issue. Kindly relay to management to consider making the process more user-friendly. Thank you.

I am having trouble logging into connect because my phone number has changed. I can't access that number to receive the verification code needed to log in. I attempted to create a new username with a different email, but that also did not work. I specifically need a copy of my [redacted] form. I submitted a request for a duplicate, but after a month of trying, I still haven't received any information.

Hello, I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent experience with your online system and customer support. In May [redacted], I received a [redacted]-G form in error. Despite my attempts to rectify this by going through the verification process with ID.me and notarizing an affidavit stating the claim as fraudulent, I have been unable to successfully submit the necessary documentation. The two-step authentication process on your website seems to be malfunctioning, repeatedly asking for my verification code without allowing me to proceed. Unfortunately, the inability to access the website has hindered me from submitting the required RA form along with the notarized affidavit. I have been diligently attempting to resolve this issue for over a week without success. The lack of direct customer support only adds to the frustration, as all phone numbers lead to automated messages stating that representatives are busy. I urgently need assistance with submitting my notarized affidavit to address the erroneous [redacted]-G for [redacted]. Please reach out to me at 1-[redacted] at your earliest convenience to help guide me through the resolution process. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Laura M.

I was receiving unemployment benefits in [redacted] when suddenly the payments into my checking account stopped. I was informed that someone had requested an “unemployment credit card” under my name, which I did not authorize. I have $[redacted] pending from before and $5,[redacted] to claim, but I am unable to access them. I have already provided my SS card and driver's license at the carrier center, yet there has been no resolution. Despite numerous calls for help, I have not received assistance. Should I consider hiring an attorney to resolve this issue regarding my owed funds?

I am a remote worker based in Orlando, Florida, and my employer is located in Dallas, Texas. I am encountering an issue when entering the EIN number and employer's name on my unemployment application, as it displays an error stating the employer cannot be found. I am confident that the EIN I provided is accurate, as I used it for my taxes in ****. This obstacle has persisted for the past few months, preventing me from completing my application. Please assist me in resolving this matter. Thank you. - Eunice S.

Hello, I am experiencing issues with the unemployment app. I am currently stuck on the section inquiring about earnings for this week. I was laid off on March 1st, [redacted], which was a Wednesday. I only worked on Monday the 27th and Tuesday the 28th. After inputting the earnings from those two days and proceeding to the following page, I encountered an error message indicating that the employer was added twice, preventing me from progressing. I initiated this process yesterday and am still unable to claim my weeks. I am in urgent need of assistance.

I recently received notifications stating that I allegedly received an overpayment of over 11k in unemployment benefits from 1/16/21 to 8/21/21, despite being eligible for these benefits when I initially applied to the FL DEO. Before connecting ID.me to my account, it was already open. I've attempted to access my accounts to dispute this, but encountered a system glitch preventing me from accessing the Florida Connect system due to a previous change in my phone number. I tried deleting and updating my ID.me account to resolve this issue without success. Despite numerous attempts to seek help from the FL DEO, I remain locked out of the system. I appealed their decision by mail, disputing the claim that I was fired for cause and thus owe the overpaid amount. My termination was not due to refusal to work but a job role change from customer service to sales at HSN without my consent, leading to my dismissal when I couldn’t meet sales quotas. I seek assistance to reverse the FL DEO's decision and gain access to my FL Connect account to rectify the phone number issue preventing me from proving the legitimacy of my unemployment claim for the period I was jobless.

I have been waiting for weeks and claiming for a couple of months now. However, I still haven't received any money, and my account keeps getting locked without any explanation. Every time I call, the automated system hangs up on me. I am frustrated and desperate to speak to a human being to resolve this issue. It has been 12 plus weeks, and I have submitted all the required verification documents. I need this money urgently as I am struggling and on the verge of losing everything because of this situation. My claimant ID is #[redacted], and I am Carolyn Jackson.

I recently accepted a new job offer after nearly 10 years in my current position. However, on my first day at the new job, I was asked to complete an I-9 form, which required documentation that I have unfortunately misplaced. As a result, I have been put on hold until I can locate the necessary documents. This delay has caused me to go without income for almost three weeks now. While I hope to start working soon, I am concerned about the financial impact of missing two weeks' worth of pay.
